JoAnn Labani’s 3rd-grade class had the opportunity to meet with Carol Riordan from the Friends of Big Bear Valley to learn more about the famous bald pair, Jackie and Shadow. Each student got to ask Carol a question: what types of food do they eat, how many eggs does Jackie lay a year, and my personal favorite, why are bald eagles called bald eagles?
